The volume Overshare by Sophie Calle has been selected as one of the 20 winners of the prestigious The Most Beautiful Swiss Books 2024 award.

The announcement was made on 20 March on the official website of the competition, organised by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture.

Designed by Genoud and printed by Musumeci, the book accompanies the eponymous exhibition at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis—the first North American retrospective dedicated to the French artist. Overshare spans five decades of Calle’s artistic practice, featuring photography, video, installations, and text-based works. The volume is structured into four thematic sections—The Spy, The Protagonist, The End, and The Beginning—offering a fresh perspective on her most celebrated works, such as The Sleepers (1979) and Suite Vénitienne (1980), alongside lesser-known pieces.

With contributions from Henriette Huldisch, Eugenie Brinkema, Aruna D’Souza, and Courtenay Finn, Overshare reaffirms Sophie Calle’s ability to intertwine autobiography, investigation, and conceptualism, revealing the tensions between the visible and the invisible, the spoken and the unspoken.

We are proud to have once again printed one of The Most Beautiful Swiss Books, following our recognition in 2022. This award is a testament to the dedication and expertise of the entire Genoud and Musumeci team and to our long-standing experience in printing volumes devoted to the world of art.
